December, 2004

Is the year over already?  There's lots of additions to tide you over until 2005... Jan's Tales has The Husband House Part Two.  Take your time with the photos - the more you look, the more you see.  You'll also find a very eerie, chilling tale of an encounter Jan had while spending the night in Room 11 in a supposedly ordinary motel.  Brrr - I'm still chilled.

In Reader's Tales, you'll find War Ghosts and Ouija Boards. There's one about a matchmaking spirit of sorts, in Fred The Friendly Ghost and a tale with a little 'shock' in it in Strange Phenomena

In the Special Mention section, you'll find one way Urban Legends can get started....and don't miss the new Untitled Tale.  And, of course, there's more new emails to read...

Skinwalkers?  Did someone say Skinwalkers?  Read about encounters with them in Subject: Skinwalkers, then in Skinwalkers.  Another Hard to Explain Tale you don't want to miss is A Frightening Experience.

What's coming in January?  I'm kicking off 2005 with an interview with the author of Jan's Tales, plus adding more articles of famous and well-known cases, to start.  There may even be a new Webmaster's Tale...If you have stories, send them in!  New stories are needed for the next update!  Be sure to read the Submission Rules before submitting your tale...

Have a great Christmas and New Years, and I'll see you next year....

HALLOWEEN EDITION...November, 2004

Happy Halloween....,

My life-sized skeleton, affectionately named "Harvey", is sitting in a chair outside, lovingly reading some horror stories to one of the giant rubber rats, while a spider as big as a man's hand sits on his shoulder.... hehehe.  There's some other goodies out there waiting for trick or treaters, but Harvey is the star of my Halloween scene setting... the rest of the year, he lives in our guest room.  The cats don't mind curling up next to him for a nap... he is, of course, moved elsewhere when we have overnight company.

But I digress.... In Jan's Tales, there's a couple of investigations to read about.... one is a look into the area of the Beast of LBL story, and another is a lengthy investigation with photos into a haunted home, named the Husband House...Jan also returned to Oakgrove cemetery, and took plenty of photos to share with everyone...My FAVOURITE new Jan's Tale, however, is Through the Fog...

There's two stories by the same author; Something in the Woods and a new Featured Tale titled It Wants In...After reading that, those of you with 'doggie doors' might want to think about nailing them shut...There's a new Untitled Tale you'll like.

October, 2004

Well, where do I start?  Have some new Readers Tales... My Experiences w/the Paranormal is an interesting series of unexplained events in one person's life.  She apologized for her tale being so long, but I'm thinking it may not have been quite long enough... Not so Alone in the Woods should give you the heebees, it even has a photo at the end, to give you a mental picture when reading the story. If those don't get you, I think this one about a Midnight Strangler will... there's new additions to the We Get Emails page also.

The same author sent in 3 Untitled Tales, which I posted together.  Also in Untitled Tales is an extraordinary tale about a possible angel... you'll see what I mean.

Get geared up for the Special Halloween update - coming Oct. 31st, of course...

September, 2004

Quite a few more additions coming this month... First, I've posted 6 new entries on the We Get Emails page... There's three new very interesting Readers Tales - The Little Man, Sleepless Nights and Ghostly Phone Calls, and Ghosts, or Overactive Imagination?  These types of experiences make one wonder a bit about just what WAS happening...  Old Guards Never Die is a new Featured Tale, and then there's one I thought should go in the Hard to Explain section... A Maui Tale.

I also have new additions to the site on Jan's Tales...an interesting account of an apparent encounter with an angel, and a long-term investigation into what we call The Husbands House...photos and all...keep checking back for that one...I'm still working on getting it ready...I'll notify you here when it's up...

That should be enough to keep you busy for awhile... until the next update, anyway...

August, 2004

I FINALLY think I'm finished with the 'tweaking'... the fonts should now be consistent, and the backgrounds just right... Would love some feedback on all my hard work... Email me with your comments about the improved look of the site, okay?  Of course, you can also make comments in the Guestbook...

Am just happy to have that done!  Now I can concentrate on adding more stories...the next update is September 1st...

Don't panic if you notice some weirdness and inconsistencies going on with the background...I'm just spending some much needed time 'tweaking' the site, to make it look more uniform and 'pretty'... I was just not happy with some of the effects with the fonts, etc., and it was just starting to really bug me, so am finally getting to taking care of the little details...bear with me, you'll like the end result!

All I can say is, Wow....lots more stories posted... Jan has a couple new tales, Grandma Said Hello and A Familiar Terror Returns... I've got one in Special Mention, about the dangers of Tempting Evil, two different tales, Shadows and Lurking in The Shadows in Hard to Explain Tales.

There's more Reader's Tales too... Something Kinda Scary, The Whatever, and My First Ghostly Encounter plus new additions to the We Get Emails Page.... as usual, look for the NEW! logo for the newest stories...

On the next update, be prepared....There will be lots of photos of a house Jan investigated...plus the story of the investigation, of course...

July, 2004

Well, FINALLY I've updated...I appreciate everyone's patience and understanding during this long hiatus from the site.  Health problems took precedence over my personal interests for awhile, but I'm feeling better, and am updating the site once again...

I've added quite a bit to the stories!  Look for the ones marked NEW! on the following pages: Readers Tales, Untitled Tales, Hard to Explain Tales, Out of the Sky, and We Get Emails...

Look for some changes to the site, in the design...nothing drastic, just some improvements here and there...

It feels great to be back!

March 1, 2004

It hasn't been due to lack of interest that I haven't updated, but rather circumstances....I appreciate everyone's patience, and will be updating the site soon.  Stories are needed, and I will be writing more articles on paranormal topics.  Keep checking back...

January 1, 2004

This marks the third year of Guardian Tales being 'officially' on the internet...hard to believe how much time has gone by!  I went on a hiatus the last couple of months, but I think I've made up for it with the end of the year additions to the site...Just go to Readers Tales, Hard to Explain TalesWe Get Emails, and read the stories with NEW! by them...I almost forgot!  There's a new tale added in Special Mention, too.

I've also archived the 2003's What's New page and 2003's Guestbook.  I wanted to start 2004 with a clean slate...STORIES ARE NEEDED!  Send them to:  guardiantales@hotmail.com
