UNTITLED TALES

Untitled 9

(NOTE:  At the time of this occurrence, the author lived in Sulphur Springs, Texas.)

In January of 1997, a good friend of mine died. He lived in Commerce, Texas, about 20 miles away from me. He was always kidding me because I refuse to wear a tie to church. He always said that he would get me in a tie somehow. I had to wear a tie to be a pall bearer at his funeral. Later on, about 2 in the morning my wife and I were awakened by a noise. I thought it was the alarm and reached over to turn it off. I looked up to see where the noise was coming from. I had an old rotary tie hanger on the wall. It's the kind that spins. I looked up and it was spinning. I thought it had maybe shorted out or something so I just turned it off and went back to sleep. The next morning I decided to take the batteries out so that it wouldn't short out again. There were none in it. I called my wife in to look at it and all she could say was that my friend had gotten me again.

I do not believe in ghosts and if anyone else told me this story I would say that they were telling me a lie. I don't have any explanation for it. Nothing like this has ever happened to me or my wife before.  I guess it's just one of those things that can't be explained, so you just put it in the back of your mind and forget it.
