READERS TALES
A Reedley, California Story
My husband and I reside in Reedley, California and are
devout Christians with a "small" occurrence that happened to us one evening on
July 2004. Our home is a 1924 Bungalow we've been living in now for over a year
and a half. We were told that the dentist who lived in this home had died in the
kitchen and was found a few days later. We were also told that he was a very
kind and gentle soul.
We were watching television about 8:30 pm. when all of a
sudden the light was turned on in my husband's office (which is the sun room of
that home.) You can take it both ways, which we prefer, being Christians that it
was an "Angel" from heaven letting us know they'll always be a light on for us.
Or if you're really not Christians, you'd be prone to believe it another way
which would be eerie. What makes it noticeable is that the light can only be
turned on by physically PULLING (with some resistance) on the string. This is an
old home. There is no switch in this room, so when this happened, both my
husband and I could only look at one another and chuckle at what happened and
not give it another thought. We did not get frightened. And of course we pray
before we go to sleep. That comes from being devout Christians.
The following
night, my husband was in his office, when another incident happened, and all of
a sudden our TV in the living room came on for no apparent reason. Now to turn
on our TV, you'd have to 1st turn on the TV with the 1st remote control (which
is a 52" plasma) then you'd have to turn on the 2nd remote which turns on the
Dolby surround sound speakers. And lastly the 3rd remote to turn on the Direct
TV receiver. There is no one button that turns everything on. You have to
manually turn on each one on and off. When my husband told me of this the next
morning, I went around the house with holy water and started praying for
whatever was trying to make itself "home" there and send it out
of our Christian home.
No more incidents have occurred, and none have not been
noted as we truly don't look for them. But I just thought I'd share these 2
incidents with you. We know they exist, but we don't really care to have them
interfere with our souls, so it's best to send (whatever was there those 2 days)
to send it out. Due to the public position my husband holds, I am unable to
disclose our name and request should this story be selected for viewers to read,
we'd like to remain anonymous. Thank you kindly for your time and your efforts
in putting this website together. I am the same Lady who wrote you requesting
information on the address of that occurrence that young man and his friends who
lived in Reedley California experienced.
