Two years ago, being
divorced, my children and I packed up and moved from California to Carson
City, Nevada. There I found a great buy on a mobile home. It was perfect. Rent
was so high, and I thought this would be more practical. My kids would have a
stable home while finishing their schooling. It wasn't long after we moved in
that we started noticing that we weren't alone.
At first it was just sightings of a cat here and there around the house. At
night while we lay in bed trying to sleep, we would be able to hear the sounds
of a cat batting something across the kitchen floor. We didn't mind having our
little cat friend here. It was kind of cute actually, even though you can hear
it, you were only lucky enough to see it every once in awhile. I think he
prefers not to be seen.
It was after we became comfortable with having our little ghost cat living
with us, that more strange things started happening. Call it more ghosts or
poltergeists if you want. I have two young daughters, 10 and 13, living here
so I am more inclined to lean towards the poltergeists.
The first incident to give us a little wake-up call was in the master bedroom
that my daughters shared. My youngest daughter Teri was kicking back on her
bed watching TV. when, I being in the living room, suddenly heard a loud crash
and a scream from my daughter. I ran into the bedroom, found my daughter
cowering on the bed and pointing to where the TV. now lay face down on the
floor. The TV. in that room has been hurtled to the floor on a couple of
occasions. Both times my ten year old was in the room. Seems as if it
surrounds her the most. The second time it happened, my 13 year old was lucky
enough to have witnessed it. The first time I was thinking that maybe Teri had
just yanked on the cable leading to the TV. so I really didn't give it much
thought. The second time it happened, my older daughter swears nobody was
anywhere near the TV. or the cable leading to it. Funny, there was little
damage to the TV. and it still works.
Other things such as items being thrown from closets and disappearances of
small items being found ten minutes later has frequently occurred also. To
write about all of it would make this become a book.
Now I want to tell you about the master bathroom. Friends and family, that
have used that bathroom, without knowing about the goings on here, have
mentioned to me that the bathroom gave them the creeps.
Teri, my youngest, was taking a shower in that bathroom when through the
shower door she saw a figure in there with her. Talk about a blood curdling
scream. I thought maybe she had got a hold of a razor. She tried to describe
to me what she saw, I didn't want to give her leading questions so her
description is a bit vague. What she saw was like someone trying to clear the
steam on the outside of the shower door. She described the hand wiping on the
shower door several times. It sent chills up my spine, even though I have had
ghosts living with me everywhere I go.
My oldest, Maria, and I were talking one day when we both at the same time
started telling each other about a dream we have both been having lately.
Strange it was almost the same dream. The dream Maria had was this......She
dreamt that she walked into the master bathroom, walked into the shower,
closed the shower door, opened it again, walked out of the shower and saw a
little African American boy of about 9 years old standing there and staring at
her. She then woke up crying.
The dream I had I guess wasn't as involved though, I mean I didn't move from
where I was in my dream, Maria seems more active. Anyway my dream was
this.....I was dreaming that I was laying in bed reading a book (the master
bedroom is now my room) when I looked up towards the bathroom. What I saw was
the bathroom door was wide open, the light was on, and there was a little
African American boy of about 9 standing in the doorway to the bathroom. After
that I woke up.
I don't know what to think about the little boy, I'm sure he is still with us.
We haven't seen much of him lately, but we can still feel his presence. Mostly
in the master bathroom. Yes we will continue to live here. This isn't the
first time I've had to share my home with a ghost.
