JAN'S TALES
Jan Thompson - The
Interview
Hi everyone... first, allow me to
introduce myself; My name is San Perry, and I am the creator of the
Guardian Tales website. I am interviewing Jan Thompson, the author of
the stories in
Jan's Tales, and the largest contributor to this site.
(NOTE: My comments and questions
are in italics)
Jan, the first thing I want to say is,
I greatly appreciate your taking the time to do this interview. I think it
will be interesting, and the readers will enjoy reading it. I'm hoping
this interview will help to answer any questions the readers might have about
your stories and experiences.
First, a bit of
background...
-
What would you like the site visitors
to know about you?
Well, of course from all the stories I have written most know already that I
was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, and later moved to the state of Kentucky.
Yes, I do have a husband, a good ol’ Kentucky man, a younger son and two older
wonderful stepchildren, and recently a new grandson.
(But we don’t like to use the word ‘step’ when identifying their relationship
when they are spoken of; we are a very close family and surprisingly to many, I
am even close to their real mother, something many do not understand. Our family
philosophy is basically structured around the thought that each time you show
love to a single person, even if it’s only a smile in passing, the Universe
responds and is refashioned. We try never to let the worlds cliché’s of ‘exes’
(ex-wives, ex-in laws, ex-family members) get in the way of our living and
giving of ourselves.)
Five years ago I resigned from a position with a very large overnight delivery
company that I had worked with for over 17 years to become a better person not
just for myself but also for the benefit of others. Most of my time is devoted
to being a better parent/mother, wife, daughter, (to my mom whom is handicap and
needs more assistance as time passes) and to be a more responsible friend to
those whom I am close to. It was a huge monetary sacrifice for our family to
endure but the rewards of the heart over the past years have been well worth it.
(And for those of you who have known me personally in my past, I ask forgiveness
for being such a bitch…I’m on Prozac now…smile.)
-
Do you believe you have paranormal
abilities? If so, what are they?
We all, each of us have ‘gifts’, the question might be rephrased as, ‘have you
discovered them, have you developed them?’ (Even in days of old when grandmas
use to have that ‘feeling’ that someone was going to pay a visit she would bake
something special based on that ‘impending emotion’ that would nag at them. Even
then they possessed the ‘gift’ or a ‘gift’ of supernatural perception and didn’t
recognize it as such.) Over the years, yes, I have discovered them, and have
developed them; mostly they come in the form of visions inside my mind, like a
stack of Polaroid snapshots being flipped through rapidly.
Once when I was very
young, around 8 I believe, I was riding with my mom in her blue Chevy Nova and I
saw, inside my mind, a very large orange truck hitting my side of the car and
crushing it into the other half of the vehicle. I screamed at my mom and pleaded
with her to take me home, immediately. My tears and fear and the bizarre picture
I painted out for her from what I had ‘seen’ confusingly alarmed her so much
that she dropped me off at her mother’s home which was not far from where we
were traveling. She had some more grocery shopping to do but would finish up
very close to where we were and wouldn’t be gone long. Except that she was.
A
few hours passed before a tow truck showed up in front of my grandma’s house;
the car had been wrecked on the passenger side, the metal crushed into the
drivers side, and orange paint was apparent upon the blue metal of the Nova. A
very large newspaper truck had run a stop light and plowed right into the side
of her car. The truck had been orange in color.
That was only the beginning of
many incidents that would have my close family members look at me differently.
Over the course of years I have ‘read’ people by just touching their hands, or
picked up on images when I brushed by them accidentally. But they are warned
beforehand that what I see is only the truth and not candy coated promises,
numbers to win the lottery, or who they are going to fall in love with. What I
see is a path prepared for them to follow that the Creator has set up for them.
(The future is not something already in existence; it is something one must
create by ones self, by making choices, nothing is written in concrete unless it
is preordained by the Higher source.) It is by their ‘own free will’ that they
travel upon this path, and it is very sad that most do not. They become lazy or
rely on their own selfish, childish dreams, and want opportunities to come knock
on their doors. That’s not how life works.
I once read a quote from a woman
named Cheri Huber that rings true to the bone, “How you do one thing is how you
do everything.” Are you a dreamer or a get up and go- getter? That is one of the
reasons why I quit reading people; they would not open their eyes up to see the
path before them because it wasn’t as elegant or as promising as they wished it
to be, even though they would have the power to make that path brighter and full
of blessings if they decided to travel it and pay attention to the ways their
God would reach out and communicate with them.
I have also read people over the
phone, by computer and by letter in the past. Other forms of paranormal
abilities that are also a part of my life’s journey include lucid dreaming, and OBE’s. Once again, you, San, and the readers are able to tap into the Universe
and awaken your own sixth sense, whether by reading books by qualified and
mature individuals, learning from the same type of people at seminars or
community groups in your area that support and understand the power of the
individual soul, or even from trusted family members and friends. We are all
connected.
-
What is your earliest memory of a
paranormal experience or encounter?
Even before the UFO story, at five years old, I recall having nightly visitors
by my bedside before that age. Some were gentle, caring, soothing in their
nature and glowed softly as they sat beside me. They reminded me of see-thru
Saran Wrap beings that radiated tiny sparkling, bursting embers of miniature
fireworks throughout their fragile, soft textures. They were like touching a
plastic pool float filled half way with warm water. Others were more horrific in
their natures; teasing, taunting, poking, laughing in evil hisses and seemed to
have gained great joy in putting their faces against my own, pressing their
flesh upon my own, eye to eye, breath to breath, creating a great terror inside
me, all of which my mom would try and tell me were nothing but ‘nightmares’.
These ‘nightmares’ were dark in nature as well as in appearance; their touch was
like ice, their skin riddled with large, bulging veins, their voices coarse,
deep and whispery. They appeared naked and without hair anywhere, and they were
without the natural organs of a human (No sexual gender). They also took turns
floating above me, around me, upon me. Both types of visitors still come to me
to this day, several times a month.
-
Have your parents or siblings had
similar experiences to yours?
I am an only child so it was rather lonely and frustrating growing up with the
experiences I had to go through alone until my mom actually began witnessing the
events that unfolded as I grew up. She realized when I was very young that there
was something ‘odd’ about me but didn’t believe me to be mentally disturbed or
psychotic. Patiently she would listen to me explain some odd dreams, visions,
and happenings, but I believe it was after the ‘orange truck’ incident that she
began to understand more that the something ‘odd’ was actually more of a
spiritual gift, and looked upon me more seriously. She too is very receptive to
paranormal events and has ‘gifts’ of her own.
For example, it seems almost every
Christmas we will buy each other the same presents! One year we exchanged the
same fur coats, another year we made homemade cheesecakes to surprise each
other. Our minds were and still are very much in tune with each other. In fact,
she knew when I was pregnant even before I knew myself, as she was the one whom
got morning sickness and not I. She also had labor pains and called to tell me I
needed to go to the hospital, as I was getting ready to have the baby.
She too
has had many encounters with angels and ghosts. Her great grandmother on her
father’s side of the family was a full-blooded Cherokee medicine woman so maybe
we inherited some of her spiritual essence through the mysteries of DNA. (I say
‘mysteries’ because science is not exact; as time goes by they are discovering
more and more about what is actually inherited through bloodlines. In many
religions, there are beliefs that a part of each previous ancestor in ones
bloodline is actually a part of you, and that this goes back from day one of
creation up to the present. Who knows…)
On my father’s side there were several
people in the family that had visions, dreams and ‘gifts’ of insight. One of the
most powerful members was one of his brothers whom I grew very close to. We
would actually travel outside our bodies while we slept, meet up on some astral
dimension and have lengthy conversations. The next day we would email each other
or talk hours on the phone and share and compare the images we each saw or sent
to each other to verify our meetings. I really miss those times, he has passed
on to the world beyond ours though, but he still communicates with me very often
in various ways.
I also have some cousins whom have had their own share of
paranormal events, which I have written about in a few of the Bigfoot tales.
There will be even more stories I will share concerning them as their family
house still continues to this day to be happily haunted by members of deceased
family members.
-
Where do you live now?
In the Western part of the state of Kentucky. For years I called St. Louis home,
but since I’ve lived here for over half my life now, (I’m in my 40’s) I consider
this my home, especially since I would never go back to living in a large city.
(Although, I do miss the restaurants…especially Imo’s Pizza, Ted Drew’s Frozen
Custard and Luigi’s.)
-
What do your family members think about
your experiences?
Since many of them are characters and have been unwilling participants in
several of my stories and events, they no doubt believe as they have experienced
things along side of me. Their individual fear level remains high though, as
their personal understanding is not in the same caliber as my own is. They are
always asking about any new happenings or if you, San, have posted any new
stories, and it always delights them when they can safely re-live one of the
events by just reading them on your website, or by coming every year to our
annual ghost story bonfire party. (Which always amazed me…that the same people
come every year to hear the same stories.)
-
Do you believe that being 'sensitive'
to the paranormal is an inherited trait?
It can be, no doubt, but most of the time the individual has to let their
sensitivity grow into an amicable understanding between themselves and the part
of the paranormal experience they are a part of. The art or act of being
‘sensitive’ can be learned as well as inherited. I truly believe we all possess
the knowledge and wisdom to unlock numerous answers to universal questions that
have stumped men for eons; for everything lies within, you must awaken your soul
to experience the true nature of the soul. Eleanor Powell once said, and I
whole-heartedly agree, “What we are is God’s gift to us. What we become is our
gift to God.” Are you listening? Do you have ears to hear and eyes to see? Can
you let go of ‘ego’ and let ‘spirit’ shine forth?
-
What is your most frightening
experience?
One of my most frightening occurrences happened rather recently in fact. The “A
Familiar Terror Returns” story written this year still un-nerves me to the core
and I am still doing some deep research into why and how it happened again after
so many years and so many miles apart.
(There was an old movie, from 1981,
called ‘The Entity” that was based on a true story of an evil presence that
followed a woman around for years and it didn’t matter where she moved to it
always appeared or showed up. I speak of this only because I would be more than
intrigued to read some of the comments or theories the professional
paranormal researchers who were directly involved with the subject have had to
say concerning this particular case. If anyone can help me out with some web
links please let me know.)
Since this happened I’m not ashamed to admit that I
have a nightlight on in every room in the house, and some rooms have two, one in
each corner. Also, when my two German shepherds leave the bedroom at night (I
have trained myself to listen unconsciously while I’m asleep to notice their
movements) I awaken and actually go with them even if its to another room to lay
down. I feel rather paranoid when they get up suddenly to leave my bedside for
some reason.
Animals, you know are extremely sensitive to other dimensions,
invisible to the human eye presences and the spirit world, and they can perceive
rather acutely I might add these unearthly attendances in their surroundings,
especially cats. I trust in their instincts first when I see them react in an
odd way, or see them staring at something not there, or see the nape of the neck
hairs standing on end and hear them growling at mid air nothingness.
-
What is your favourite experience?
Actually I’m currently writing about that one…stay tuned. One of my other
favorite experiences is a story I’ve submitted just this month in fact, called,
"The One Thing”. Keep in mind that the most important aspect of your ‘journey
through life’ is what you can actually learn from a topic that you’ve already
studied, researched and graduated from that you thought you knew everything
about.
It’s all right to give yourself permission to change your mind a thousand
times, just don’t stop discovering new insights on old ways of thinking. And
most of all, don’t rely on ‘men’s traditions’ to solve all your deepest
ponderings. As Doris Lessing once said, “Think wrongly, if you please, but in
all cases, think for yourself.’
About specific stories....
-
Referring to the entity in "The
Story of 'Man'" what do you believe 'Man' was?
He definitely was not the ghost of a child, as he pretended to be at first. It
was more comparable to a negative spirit that masquerades as an innocent, the
type of entity that fools with untrained people who play with Ouija boards. I
wouldn’t go as far to say he was another ‘Captain Howdy’ like from the movie,
‘The Exorcist’ that wound up being a devil in disguise, but he was a diabolical
adversary from a dark dimension.
Even as foreboding as this entity was, he was
not near as frightening as the one from the Oakwood stories. Maybe he wasn’t as
powerful, or maybe we halted his progress before the situation really turned
into another form of possession. All we know for a fact is that we do not
mention him at all inside the house because the whole ordeal still brings a
magnificent fear into my son, Josh’s heart. To this day, even in his teenage
years, his closet doors still remain open and the light is always on inside, as
well as several other forms of lighting all around his room that stay ‘on’ at
night while he sleeps. It’s as if he expects that darkness to return one day or
as he has expressed on occasions, he feels that something is still watching him
from the shadows.
-
Referring to 'Oakwood
I, II, III', and 'A
Familiar Terror Returns' - do you believe the Oakwood entity and 'Man' could
be the same type of, (or even the same) entity?
Maybe the same type, but I do not believe the same entity in itself. (Somewhere
inside of me I believe that Josh has the same magnetic quality as I do for
attracting spirits, whether they were from a human form at one time or from a
dimension we can only wonder about. He has been told by several ‘readers’ that
he has the same light around his soul as do I, and that all his nightmares are
real not merely dreams.)
‘Man’ seems to have come from a cemetery here in this
town, close to a park where Josh’s nanny use to take him to play. He came in the
disguise of a small boy whom was murdered by a stranger. But wait, let me pause
for a moment and re-think this…(Keep in mind that the most important aspect of
your ‘journey through life’ is what you can actually learn from a topic that
you’ve already studied, researched and graduated from that you thought you knew
everything about.)
San, you may have something here. Let us hope and pray
not! But, you know, it does make sense once you re-evaluate all the occurrences,
the strength and the power of the two entities. What if it was the same one?
What if it was trying to get to my son because of my connection to him? What
purpose would it serve by tormenting us both? Are my son and I some type of
threat to this being? Ok, now you got me having goose bumps. This is something I
will have to ponder long hours over. Let me get back to you on this one. You may
have just given me a horrific epiphany.
-
Referring to
The Beast of LBL,
and
From The Woods; I've seen links and references to these stories posted
in various message board communities, and there seems to be some question about
what it is you're describing you saw.... could you explain what you believe the
'Beast' to be?
At the time the story of ‘The Beast of LBL’ took place, the only un-logical
(Ironic, huh?) thing to label it would have been one word, Werewolf.
With the
social structure as it was back then, (as it still is today but not with such
fierceness I believe) witnesses did not come forward out of fear of being
laughed at, made fun of, labeled unstable or mentally ill. (There was also the
other impending factor; that the ‘powers that be’, that came and took over the
crime scene, had all witnesses involved threatened with some form of punishment
if they ever did open their mouths up about what really happened or what they
truly saw.)
Opinions, theories, ideas, guesswork, all of these were kept to oneself. The idea of the beast being a ‘werewolf’ was my first suspicion, but that
surmise went in the direction of actually believing in vampires, zombies and
Frankenstein monsters; they were just legends of fantastic novels. Or, were
they? Wasn’t every legend based on some form of actual incident, fact, or figure
in history?
For years I kept that particular definition to myself, preferring to
call it a ‘beast’ instead and would let the listeners of the repeated story make
up their own mind. But since that time, and after spending some excellent
quality time with 3 Bigfoot researchers this year, that hidden conjecture became
more of a ‘logical’ exemplification. According to some of the researcher’s
documented reports, there have been several sightings of Bigfoot having pointed
ears, elongated snouts and sharp nails or claws, most of them being seen on the
east side of the Mississippi River.
This eased my mind a great deal by two ways,
1. By actually hearing that others in the world have seen something similar, and
2. That it wasn’t an actual werewolf. (Wasn’t every legend based on some form of
actual incident, fact, or figure in history…hmm, is that what was roaming the
Carpathian Mountains all those centuries ago? A Bigfoot?)
-
Referring to
Through the Fog
- did you ever report this experience? Do you believe this was a Bigfoot
encounter?
To use a previous quote of my own, witnesses did not come forward out of fear of
being laughed at, made fun of, labeled unstable or mentally ill. I’m sorry now
to say, no, I did not report it to the proper authorities, it was only discussed
when others around me brought up the subject, had experiences of their own to
tell or around a camp fire during Halloween.
(Ironically, this morning I had
breakfast with some dear friends of mine who have attended several of our annual
ghost story parties at Halloween and when I mentioned that Guardian Tales had
put up some new tales for the month of December, including an update on the
Beast of LBL, they were rather confused as they believed only true stories could
be submitted. After laughing out loud briefly, I confirmed that, uh, the story
of the Beast was true as was all the stories told at the Halloween parties.
The
husband actually, (and I’m not joking either), jumped out of his seat, ran to
his laptop and brought up the Guardian Tales website to read the tale and see
the photos. You could visually see the pallor of his skin change to a pale shade
as he raced through the words and looked at the pictures. He shook his head in
disbelief and said that all these years he thought it was a bunch of baloney,
just a horror story to scare the bejeesus out of the kids.)
Yes, I believe it
was a Bigfoot now. In fact, according to the researchers it might have even been
the same one from the LBL area since these creatures have been known to travel
between 60 to 90 miles in a 10-hour period. (Their walking stance is 3 to 4
times larger then the stride of a grown man, which can travel 20 miles in 9
hours during a military exercise…or so I’ve been told.)
I also want to add, that
even today, some 20 years later, that several adults and kids (including my own
son) around in my area have been spotting the same type of creature around the
Clarks River area, but are not reporting it to the media or to the cops for fear
of ridicule. It’s only talked about in small hushed circles, so I guess times
haven’t changed much in terms of admitting to seeing something out of the
ordinary.
More general questions:
-
Are you planning to start up an
investigation group?
Actually I joined a local group just recently during the past few months and we
are currently striving to recruit new mature individuals to form a professional
alliance to perform legitimate paranormal investigations in the tri-state area.
-
Do you believe entities can follow us
from place to place?
There are those out there that would disagree totally, and some I have actually
butted heads with in the distant past over this subject, but I have learned
since not to force my opinions on anyone, and it’s ok ‘to agree to disagree’.
Just as there are hundreds of types of religions, thousands of scientific
differences, and millions of separate opinions, my own belief on this subject
will probably stand alone with a quaint following…yes, I do believe whole
heartedly that unseen forces can follow someone from place to place.
Einstein
once said that ‘Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but it does however
change its plain of existence’. In that other ‘plain of existence’, without a
vehicle (the human body) to contain it, I believe that energy can move freely of
its own accord if it possesses a type of living consciousness.
-
How do you feel about Ouija Boards?
Are they safe or dangerous to use?
The Ouija can be compared to a ‘spiritual telephone’ used to contact the
‘beings’ in the world we do not usually see. It can be a very dangerous tool as
it can open a portal, a doorway and gives an invitation to something you can
never be sure of to come through. You never know who is on the ‘other line’, and
more then likely it will be a ‘prank caller’.
Besides having the knowledge of
how to carry on the ‘conversation’ in a safe manner you must also know how to
‘terminate the connection’ properly and safely. It is not a toy people! You
wouldn’t travel to the baddest part of town and announce verbally for everyone
to come around and chat with you, would you? More than likely you would be
attacked in a situation like that, but I’m not going to compare all Ouija
experiences to that scenario.
I have used them numerous times in the past (and
believe me, there are some very wicked stories coming your way concerning some
of those encounters) and continue to use them today, but with a more developed
sense of respect and responsibility, not just for myself but also for those
present around the board. (I would like to make an ironic note that Alexander
Graham Bells' (the inventor of the telephone) original intention was to create a
machine to communicate with the deceased. That invention turned out to be the
number one source of communication worldwide years later, and it was something
he personally loathed.)
-
Why did you decide to send your stories
to Guardian Tales?
"Never underestimate the ability of a small group of people to change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." — Margaret Mead.
Years ago I posted a couple of my stories on a few other web sites but I always
felt that they were getting lost in the world of computer technology, something
was missing and that feeling nagged at me. I wanted to find a ‘home’ for all my
stories, somewhere comfortable, pleasant, but still had the essence of
professionalism as well as a caring attitude for not only the tales I would
submit but with other submitters as well. I was mysteriously led to San’s site
by some acute intuitive force and after careful examination, decided to take a
chance and I’ve never been disappointed since then.
One of the great phrases
that she wrote in her ‘Why I Made This Site’ section that really hit home with
me was, ‘ I’m tired of arguing, to be honest’ which were my feelings and
thoughts exactly. I had grown weary of trying to defend myself against
non-believers over paranormal studies and events. I was being scrutinized over
and over again as if I were some tragic, lying, lonely woman trying desperately
to seek attention. This is far, far from the truth. I was perfectly happy with
just re-telling the stories every Halloween and not having any ‘attention’ cast
my way throughout the year.
It was only on the advice of a few close friends
that I decided to even venture writing them down and then submitting them on the
net. They said that others need to know they are not alone in these experiences
and the more people can discover and learn about the ‘why’s and how’s’ of
paranormal activities the better for all concerned. They urged me to share my
life events with those who feel isolated and afraid of their own. And so, it
seems I’ve found a special niche here at Guardian Tales to do just that; share
with others and read about their own tribulations so I too may learn from them.
We are a small group here, but as Margaret Mead said, indeed, we can change the
world.
If it be ‘her will’ and with her continued blessings, I will continue to submit
the stories that have occurred and still are occurring, in my life to only San
and her wonderful website. I personally feel that all of you, the readers and
submitters, have and can find a type of peace here at Guardian Tales. The site
has a sense of community friendship, camaraderie, and support and possesses a
type of salvation for all of us seeking answers, proof, or even some
understanding from like minds with like hearts.
Do you plan to write a book about
your experiences?
Although I’ve been complemented on my style of writing, (I bow in humble
gratitude for those who have passed on that compliment) I do not have the
confidence in attempting to do such a thing. If some publishing house approached
me just on the merit of the way the stories are written here on San’s site I
would consider it for sure, but I don’t want editors to eat them up and spit
them out. Nor do I seek fame and fortune or desire to be a guest on a show like
Jerry Springer’s (smile) to be picked to pieces by skeptics. Publishing a book
of truths is like publishing a book on a new religion, the author will be
bombarded by non-believers and frankly; I’m tired of all the arguing. (I know
there are a lot of details in my tales but I choose to do that on purpose…I want
you there with me, to see what I see, smell it, taste it, feel it, and live it.
It wouldn’t be very interesting if I just wrote, “I saw a ghost the other day
and it scared me,” or “I felt something sit on the bed the other night but I
didn’t see anything”.)
And finally...
-
What is your response to skeptics and
those who don't believe your stories are true, actual experiences?
JAN 3:16 “I shall come back and tell you what I think…after I die.” (Smile.)
First, I don’t argue, I just tell them, ‘I agree that you disagree, and I
believe that you believe in what you are saying’. The conversation usually turns
after this with my own steering. Arguing over paranormal truths, misconceptions,
events, history, etc…is like debating over religions or politics; no one changes
their minds, and it’s a waste of time. We are all individuals, even though we
are cosmically connected, and we all have the free will to believe in the things
we wish to. I don’t force my opinions on others, and I’m not changing my mind or
stories to suit anyone’s ‘scientific molds, percentage numbers, polls,
categories, or observations’. They are what they are. Period.
I do however,
research and read numerous other written accounts concerning the paranormal to
try and give some explanations to my own, as well as to find a satisfied form of
release from the fear and wonderment. Also, over the past 35 years (since I
could read rather well) I’ve poured over countless volumes of books that have
dealt with all types of religions, their backgrounds, origins, and ancient
beginnings. I have formed the habit of reading several books at once over the
many years, for example I’m currently reading 14 different ones, dealing with
subjects ranging from the Messianic Legacy, Buddhism, Edgar Cayce, to Druidism.
Next month it will be 14 new ones. Even with all this personal research under my
belt, there are still answers to be found, and new discoveries to be unwrapped.
When placed in a situation that would involve an argument with a skeptic I would
have an enormous amount of ammunition inside my mind to converse with on the
subject, but alas, I am not a very good debater, I’m more of an observer and
reflect my thoughts better with the written word. The most important thing to
remember though, is there is always room to grow, and to never stop learning;
keep you mind open, weigh the odds, filter through subject matters, listen to
others, even the skeptics. And…it’s ok to change your mind once in awhile when
you discover a new avenue of truth.
-
Is there a question I haven't asked
that you would like to answer?
There are a few items I would like to add for the benefit of the readers and
you, San, which may or may not have fallen into any particular category above
that I feel I need to touch upon. Edit out what you wish, of course:
Just for the record, especially for all the skeptics out there that might label
me as ‘crazy’, I have been to a psychologist before, for several years in fact.
It was for some personal ‘real life’ trauma that had occurred in my adolescent
years as a small child. And I am happy to inform you all that not once did the
doctor categorize me as a paranoid schizophrenic, a victim of night terrors,
sleep paralysis, or suffer from hallucinations, delusions or any other type of
serious mental illness. And, yes, this doctor was well aware of the paranormal
activities that were and are a part of my life. I was told that the social
sciences do not have the answer to everything, and that their work in this
particular area was a very new challenge for their profession.
Another item would be the fact that I did not ask for all this to happen to me,
nor did I invite it into my life. I only exercised my mind with knowledge to try
and understand, with growth and development for my spirit, and to find a closer
connection to the Higher Source. The main questions being…where did we come
from, why are we here and where are we going? Who knows, maybe people like us
are being used by a higher source to ‘get the word out’, by being brave enough
to talk about it, share it, and help others who are terrified of it. The more I
learn and expand my reasoning’s and conceptions, the more I learn about God, and
I always try and explain some of the happenings in my stories with a spiritual
tone.
The paranormal does not always involve boogie men, monsters, and specters;
it also includes the other side of the coin of things not totally
understood-angelic visions, near death experiences, the mysterious touch of a
deceased relative, etc…The word ‘paranormal’ should not induce fear into the
hearts of men, but rather a desire to seek out and uncover a new world that is
all around us.
The bottom-line is-you once were spirit, you are in the flesh now, and you will
be spirit again.
Jan, again I want to thank you for the interview....
I'm sure it will answer many questions for readers of your stories and this
website. I look forward to your next story and/or article submissions.
