READERS TALES
I've Got a Story
I live in
San Antonio Texas and am originally from Oklahoma. My parents were living in
Oklahoma at the time.
Because of issues and a dysfunctional family, I rarely if ever communicated with
my parents. Then last year (2002)
around the end of September, I was walking to my
truck, when a red light flashed above a building located across the street.
Thinking I had seen things, I looked again, but this time there was no light or
flashing light, never has been one. I remember thinking I had to have tired.
On the way home there is a highway overpass that I'm not too comfortable with and
so I always take my time when on it. (This is where it gets weird) as I looked up from adjusting
my radio volume, all the cars in front of me and
the ones on coming were bathed in a red light.
I blinked several times and even looked away, thinking I was seeing things, but
the light remained till I crossed the bridge. Then it disappeared.
I took notice and realized that something was telling me to be careful, and so
I slowed down and took my time going home.
Then on the last leg of my
journey, I passed a bingo parlor which has a large
billboard, that was never lit at night.
This night, however, when I looked at it, it was
bathed in a red light.!!! I could even read the words on the sign!
I exited the highway the same I always did, and just took my time, but nothing
else happened.
Then about a week and half a later I got a letter from my parents, wanting to
get back together. After another week or so of debating on opening old wounds, I
emailed them. Mom wanted me to handle their will, but I declined, explaining my
situation with work and home and advised her to get in contact with my brother
who lived in the city. We communicated about three more times, then in November,
she stopped writing. I did the same, as so much in the past had happened I
didn't want go thru the emotional rollercoaster ride again, or risk getting my
old faith panic attacks back. I took her no writing that she was up to her old
tricks again.
Around the 1st week of December, while laying in bed and listening to street
noise, a dark shadow passed in front of the house and completely blocked out the
street light. Startled, I jumped out of bed, thinking someone had passed in
front, but looking out, I found no one!!! Even my dogs went crazy after it
passed by. .
It happened again this time on a Saturday, December 14th.
Middle of the day,
bright clear skies, and a shadow passed in front of the house, scaring the dogs
and myself. I looked again, thinking someone has passed by, but nothing!
Monday morning, a cop showed up at my house looking for me.
My brother had lost
my phone number and I was unlisted. Both of my parents had passed away.
First my
father of a heart attack, then my mother after the ambulance arrived and informed
her my father had died. They died on Sunday afternoon.
I have not had any more odd feelings or sightings since; however my brother
visited a few weeks ago, and one of my dogs acted as if
someone was in the house. He would sit on
the bed, looking in front of him and wagging
his tail!! Once my brother left, he stopped.

her story...)
During the
Summer of 2001, About a year prior to my parents passing away, I
had a dream of my girlfriends mother,
whom I never dream about. (In the dream) She
was behind me with her hands on
my shoulders, then she stepped in front of me, hands still on my shoulders and
told me not to worry, that she
would be ok. The dream was filled with goodness and
love, and was filled with a bright gold light where we were.
Then in the background I heard a voice and saw my parents
standing together as a shadow. The voice said, 'but you will lose both
your parents."
I woke, and thought that I
was just worried about my girlfriends
mother. When I called my friend to see how her mother was,
I was told she was in the hospital and
may not make it thru the week. I told my friend not to worry, that
her mother
would be okay, and she was, At the end of the week she was fine.
(NOTE: The girlfriends'
mother, died in October, 2001)

I've Got a Story 2
I had a dream about the flood we had here in
'98. I woke to hearing thunder and
rain, and the day was clear and bright, and we had not had rain in a while. I
knew that we were going to get some bad weather, and so in October it happened.
The
dream was in August.
Had one about being underground and I was the only one who would find the way
up to the top and save everyone. When I got there, I was on a flat area
surrounded with mountains. A tall dark haired man with a
mustache was waiting for
me.
He hugged me and I woke up.
2 months later I was sent to our new office in the
western part of Virginia, where the coal mines were. The tall man ended up being
a technician at the office, whom I had never seen before, but was very nice and
helpful with the new computers. As far as hugging me, that never happened, but
he was very approachable and easy going to work with. The area is surrounded by
mountains.
I did dream of 911 about 4 months before it happened. I pay attention to dreams
that affect my emotions; the ones I can't shake.
My daughter and her then future husband, (she was not married then) and I were looking at a
house on the west side of town here in san Antonio. In the dream there was a
railroad track behind the house. We could see the sky line of San Antonio.
Then next
I was in the back seat of a car and we were headed downtown, hurrying
to get away. Then we were underground, and there was a small opening looking
out at the city skyline. The buildings were nothing but skeletons as a bright
light flashed. I remember thinking an atom bomb had gone off and now it was a
matter of time to wait for the blast of air. Everyone that was there began
hiding behind large boxes. I believe this had to do with 911 as the city's
buildings were destroyed. I woke up and the dream haunted me for a long time. I
had an awful feeling that something big was going to happen.
I never dream of my ex husband, never, and I don't have any contact with him, as
he lives in a different state. I had a dream this last June that he was in
trouble. Something was wrong, I couldn't place what the problem was, but things
were not right with him. He was in my house and I was upset. For him to be in my
dream, I knew something was wrong. I told my daughter and she advised me that
his wife asked for a divorce just days before.
I worked for a hotel that had an office with a small cubby hole where the
payroll computer was. It was situated in the main office and if you kept your
eyes on the computer you couldn't see anyone come in the room.
Well I am working really hard the weeks pay, the rooms light around me kinda of
dimmed, like someone had walked behind me, well I looked up in to the picture
above the computer, and in the glass a dark shadow of a man walked passed . I
turned to see who it was, no doubt trying to scare me, and I found I was alone.
Many times in the office I would get the shadow feeling and even occasionally
now.
Next story1
I lived in Wildflecken Germany with my ex husband on a military post. I worked
at the time at a 3 storey building that was once a military hospital after
World War 2. When the Americans arrived in Flicken, they found something like 29 000
abandoned refugees. Our office occasionally would experience computer glitches
and calculators that would total by themselves when a room was empty. We had a
maintenance man show up all the time, and tell us the calculators were fine.
Paper work would disappear for a few days, then suddenly turn up.
One day I came back from lunch before everyone else did. The entire floor was
empty of people.
We had two offices at the end of the hall, one was the main office for the boss,
the other was a conference room which was always locked when not in use. I
arrived to find the door open, and as I got closer to my office door, the door
of the conference room moved to the wall, and the handle moved three times. It
moved back to a point that there could not have been anyone behind it. I called
out for the prankster to come out that they were not scaring me, but I found I
was alone.
I just said, I'm going go to work now. then stepped into my office. About 10
minutes later the other co workers returned. Never once did I get a feeling of
evil.
We had a black dog that I walked with everyday down a road that led past a
cemetery with 3 mass graves full of children.
This dog loved that area. If we
went in to the cemetery she would run in an 8 pattern around the area and get
really excited. Many times as we passed thru a canopy of trees, which lead away
from the cemetery, she would stop and look back as if someone
were behind us. This
cemetery was located about 3 blocks from where we worked.
I really pay attention to my feelings, and if they don't happen, well, so be it,
but so many times I have been able to predict things. The months of October and
September seem to be the best months for seeing or feeling things.

Antonio.
