Indian Burial Ground
I lived on the Tennessee River from
1988 to 1991, in Tuscumbia, Alabama.,
next door to a well known archaeologist,
who told
me he thought that three of the houses there including mine
were built on an Indian grave yard.
This did not bother me, because I had much respect for
the native Americans. I did collect native
American artifacts but only on the
surface of the banks along the river. One day I decided to landscape my
back yard and while digging around
I found an Indian grave. I
carefully covered it back up and never took the artifacts out.
I planted
flowers all around the grave but after this I had some very powerful experiences
and became so psychic!
We had brown recluse spiders in the house, I was
horrified of them and the Indian spirit would tell me where they were.
It would
say 'look up' and there they would be, on and on it went...
I would be
walking along the river bank and it would direct me to an artifact and when I
picked it up, I would immediately be allowed to see the person
who had made it. I knew when people around me were doing something wrong
- the spirit would tell me. I had
tremendous experiences in this place!
My now ex husband was horrified
by the things that occurred; according
to him, his experiences were not good. When he went down in the basement (there were
two more bedrooms down there) The entire surrounding
area of the basement would start shaking. I
never felt or experienced it, but I know it really scared him.
But come to find out, he was actually not a very nice person
- the reason we divorced and I honestly think the
spirit knew this, because my experiences was very sacred, and spiritual
and I always felt such a peace when I could sense the presence of what ever was
there directing me.
Years later my husband and I got
a divorce and we sold the house and when I left the spirit stayed there.
I never experienced those things again. I believe the grave I
found was maybe a
medicine man or a holy man, because the experiences were all for my good and my
protection. I am a Christian who believes in God and
would not be believed in telling this story to the 'normal'
person... But I know it was
a real experience that actually changed my life for the better.
Anyone who
says that the Indian burial grounds are not protected by powerful spirits, have
never had such an experience as the ones I had.
