READERS TALES
The Evil Within
I moved into this trailer
back in October of 1999, in Omaha, Nebraska. Before I actually moved in, I came
here with my friend and we started to clean the mess that the people before me
left. I was standing in the hallway, which was an L shape. My friend was
standing in the living room which was maybe 10 feet
from where I was. As I stood there sweeping, all of sudden I felt this gush of
coldness go right through me and headed into the living
room. I called to my friend asking her if she felt that but, she didn't
respond. I kept on repeating myself and still no answer. Finally, she stopped
what she was doing looked at me, and told me that it got cold all of a sudden.
That is when I explained to her, I'd been calling her and she said she never
heard a word. It was like that cold air put a wall in between me and her and prevented
her from hearing me. We packed up the kids and left right away. Not returning
until 2 weeks later.
When I returned, strange things started to happen. I would lock the front door,
turn around to hear a clicking sound. I'd turn around, facing the front door and
it would be unlock. This happened about 6 times with in 15 minutes.
One night, I was in my bed
trying to sleep, when I felt someone crawl onto my bed from behind me. Thinking
it was one of my kids, I turned over and no one was there. After that I slept
with a sacred candle lite.
Then, I started to hear some
one scratching on my window screen from outside. It would continue to scratch
even with looking at my window and you could tell that no one was outside. I
would even ask the sound what it wanted and it would finally stop. But, come
again the next night.
I also started to hear a dog
panting outside my bedroom door and we had no dog. You could hear pounding noise
on the walls around 3 am. I started to hear people talking and when I'd go and
look, no one would be there.
The back door started to open
on it's own. We have an alarm system, so when ever some one came in or went out,
the alarm would say front door or back door. One time, I was in my son's room,
when I heard the alarm say back door. I ran to go see who was coming in. There
stood my daughter age 3 at that time, looking at the back door, scared stiff. I
asked her who came in and she said "No one mommy, the door opened by itself!" It
did this several times, even when I had company over.
I still live in the trailer
but, now those things seemed to have calmed down some since I had my boyfriend
move in. The only time you really hear some thing is at night when everyone
seems to be asleep.
