Edgar Cayce
One of the most prolific
prophets and healers of our time, Edgar Cayce (3/18/1877--1/3/1945) left
behind a legacy of over 14,000 documents diagnosing
and giving treatments for diseases, prophecies of the future, discourses on
the existence of Atlantis, and other topics about dreams, reincarnation,
meditations, and more. His "readings" were carefully documented and can be
accessed through the archives of the Association of Research and Enlightenment
(A.R.E.) located in
Virginia Beach, Virginia.
When younger, Cayce
discovered that he was able to memorize his school
books by sleeping on them. But it wasn't until he was 21, that he discovered
another use for his ability. Cayce began gradually losing his voice, due to a
paralysis of his throat. When doctors failed to find a cause or treatment,
Cayce put himself into the same type of altered state he used to memorize his
school-books. Once in this state, he announced, "We have the body," and
proceeded to describe the condition and its cure. He stated that the
paralysis could be removed by applying extra blood flow to the area, and did
so, his throat turning dark red as the circulation in that area increased,
then slowly faded away. His voice returned; the condition cured.
Other uses were found for
this remarkable ability. At the age of 24, Cayce began the series of
"readings" considered to be one of the most impressive records of intuitive
information ever gathered from a single individual. His "readings" often
dealt with specific personal cases, and it was not necessary for the person to
be present. In many instances they were hundreds of miles away. "We have the
body," he would say in his altered state, and the reading would be given. Not
only to heal physical ailments, but to also give advice on other areas of the
person's life. Spiritual, vocational, mental, etc.
However, he didn't stop with
individual case readings. It is believed that Cayce gave the most
comprehensive information source about Atlantis, prophecies of the future of
the world, the meaning of dreams, reincarnation, and more.
Cayce's
readings can be studied today, and the information given in them can provide
the reader with help for their physical ailments, information about the future
state of the world, plus the answers to tantalizing mysteries... While the
medical readings were aimed towards individual cases, they contain specific
